Discover Palm reading

Palm Reading

Palm Reading

Palm reading is the study of the palm in its entirety. This can be classified into – the study of shapes of hands and fingers (Chirognomy) and the study of lines of the palm (Chiromancy). Chirognomy should be known to understand the genetic and inherited disposition of the subject while chiromancy for reading the past, present and future. Both types of study are indispensable. The study of one without the other will not yield the best of conclusions upon the subject.

Practised from ancient times, palmistry has now evolved to a standard set of rules. The palm reader should be one capable of immense concentration and observation of the minutest details. He/she should be able to identify the differences between markings and lines of hand to the other.

Contrary to common understanding, the study of both hands should be performed for both males and females. For a right-hander, the right hand will give an understanding of his profession etc while for the left-hander, the left. The superficial signs can be read almost immediately upon viewing the hand. All it needs is some common sense. As in a yellow palm indicates excessive bile production while a blue hand indicates a subject with circulatory problems. A pink hand shows a healthy individual. A soft hand can be understood to be a person who has not done much physical labour while a rough hand with calluses suggests the opposite. Also the flexibility of a thumb should be tested. If the thumb is rigid, so is the subject. He/she will stand n their viewpoints and be late to changes.  On the other hand, a flexible thumb suggests a flexible and adjusting personality.

There are three most important lines in palmistry that are often the first observed –The life line, line of heart and the line of head.  The Vital line of the line of life embraces the region of palm under the thumb, also known as Mount of Venus. It should be long narrow and deep without any crosses or breaks to suggest a healthy long life. If made of small continuing breaks, the subject will have a life with many instances of ill health.

The line of head crosses the centre of the hand. Also known as the natural or cerebral, this line indicates the mentality of the subject – his/her intellectual strength and weakness, his/her talents etc. The line of head is often studied in relation with the line of life. If these lines are close, then the individual takes decisions based on their intellect and is very cautious. If the lines are wide apart, the subject is bound to take hasty impulsive decisions in life. Moderate distance between the two indicates a person full of energy and optimism.

The line of heart or Mensal is one line that has the interest of all. It runs parallel to the line of head at the base. Ideally, it should be clear, deep and well coloured. If red coloured, then the subject is highly passionate. If pale, the subject is indifferent to love. If it runs very close to the head, then the matters of the heart will affect those of head i.e. decision making.

These are just a few of the obvious signs that be noted in a glance. For thorough studying of the hand, there are numerous books available. A good palmist should remember that he/she is not an authority figure to pass judgments on the subject. He/she should pursue the art of palm reading only in humbleness, honesty and truth and realize their faults and mistakes before condemning the others.

The art of Crystal Gazing

June 1st, 2009 Mythral 10 comments

Crystal Gazing

Crystal Gazing

Crystal gazing or crystallomancy is the divination of reading the past present or future of an individual, by gazing into a crystal. This has been practised through the ages. First by the Druids, this divination art had been carried over to the medieval periods of Europe. All seers, sorcerers and the like have been found to be practising crystal gazing during those times. Later on, during the years of fifteen to sixteen hundreds, a Dr John Dee was also noted to be interested in crystal gazing. Now Crystal gazing has become more of a fair attraction or restricted to magicians and stage shows.

The crystal to be gazed at can be a clear flawless crystal ball (completely spherical) or stone, mirror, a liquid set in a dish or ink and it differs from one seer to another. It can be made of rock-crystal, ivory or ebony, quartz etc. The colour can also vary.  What one seer may be comfortable with the other may not. Those that practice crystal gazing are called as seers, scryers or readers. They attempt to read the past present or future of the subject, their fortunes and solutions to the subject’s problems.

The process starts with cleansing of self and the crystal. The crystal is held in both the palms and a silent prayer invoking God’s blessings and presence to guide is performed by the seer. Then it is placed on a stand of wood or metal. The lighting should be dim and not draw attraction to other objects around the room nor disturb the eye of the seer. The lighting should not cast reflections on the crystal itself and thus affect reading the vision. The room for placing the crystal and gazing should itself be a relaxing one. There should not be any bad memories associated with the room so as to put a pressure on the seer to concentrate of gazing. Mediation should come with ease. The seer should have a receptive mind and not probe the crystal but relax completely. It is like mediating having the crystal ball as the point of focus. Stray thoughts should gently be put aside and concentration returned. The possibility of seeing a vision depends on the seer’s ability to mediate and concentrate and also on the reason for crystal gazing. Unless prepared with a proper question, mere curious gazing will not take you anywhere.

It will definitely take a lot of practice of master crystal gazing. What is important is that you should not give up. Finally when the seer is having success, he/she is said to observe a misty cloud like swirl before the illusion. The seer can have a range of illusions from actual visions to colours, objects, symbols which will be interpreted.

It is important to note the shapes and symbols arising before you.  Then refer the numerous books available and try to interpret your visions. There is no hard and fast set of rules to follow for interpreting. With time, you will be able to agree upon your own rules of interpretation.

Witchcraft – How did it start?

November 16th, 2008 Mythral 11 comments

I want to talk about something that is warm at heart. Witchcraft! If you are like me, intrigued about the possibility to have powers to take control of your life and being in command, then you should read this post below!

Celts were the people of Indo – European origin. Initially from central Europe, they spread to Western Europe, Britain and further south-east spreading their culture and traditions. They lived before the Romans around 700BC to 100AD. They were god fearing people who paid adulation to both a God and Goddess. They were proficient in most of the fields they undertook, from being warriors to artists to farmers etc. The Celts believed in after life at Summerland and also in Reincarnation.

The priests of the Celts were known as Druids. Twenty years of difficult training and study was required to becoming a practising Druid. They were all powerful and wise. They remained in existence even after the defeat of the Celts by the Romans often proving political assistance and advice. They were called as peacemakers.

They travelled a lot and were country dwellers. Here is an interesting twist – Pagan means country dweller. The ways and means of the Celts, their religious beliefs were later denoted as Paganism. Their traditions fused wit other descendant tribes making up for the Pagan rituals that grew. Each tribe had its own means of living and worshipping. Healing was often one by concocting potions that were derived from medicinal herbs of the respective areas and hence these customs began to be called as witchcraft.

The wise Celtic women were called witches which is said to be a derivative of the word ‘wicca’ which means wise. Thus witch craft holds the meaning ‘Craft of the wise.’

The travellers that Celts were, they moved to Northern America. The local colonies there did not support the witchcraft practices openly. Thus secrecy in such practices was maintained. The potions from those practising witchcraft were said to have healing powers and offer protection from enemies like Native Americans. Because of such benefits, the witches were widely respected. They were not initially feared. Fear slowly corrupted the minds of the majority of innocents when the common public realized that they do not possess powers to perform what witches can. Adding fuel to fire was the claim by the Church that witch craft can only be learned from the devil. Thus witches lost their importance in the society and worse still were looked upon as enemies when epidemics and famines occurred. People believed it to be the work the witches for disapproving them and the work of God’s wrath for supporting the witches. Slowly even women who were not witches came to be looked down upon. Women were looked upon as distractions in places of politics and religion. They were not allowed to visit holy places with men. Beauty and all forms of happiness were sins and not to be allowed. Mass killing of women took place. Those that were slightly suspected of practising witchcraft were executed without notice or trial. The witches were tortured in unmentionable barbaric ways and killed along with cats, which were thought to be faithful reporters of witches. Anyone and everyone accused of Witchcraft were killed mercilessly. This was not the plight of the common man alone. Even priests and kings were not spared.

The torture and killings of those practising witch craft was encouraged by many Vatican popes and kings. Rules and laws were created to capture witches and large ransoms were offered.

This carried on for more than 150 years after which the craze of witchcraft killings finally ceased to exist at approximately in the 1700’s.

Communicating with the dead – Is it possible

August 15th, 2008 Mythral 7 comments

I saw some interesting questions in the post about life after death and I thought it was time we take a look at the possibility to communicate with the dead. Can it be done?

Well first of all, you have to believe there is a place after this life to even consider this fact. I believe and most who have comment in the “life after death”-post seems to agree with me. How is it possible and who can do it?

Contacting the dead

Contacting the dead

Losing a loved one is a very traumatic and painful experience. I’m sure all of us want to contact our loved ones, who are in a different world. But, the best thing we can do is learning to let them go, so they can travel further and pursue their journey toward afterlife.

However, contacting the dead is possible. But just as there are two sides to every coin, there is a flip-side to this too. Only a spiritually awakened person, who has a spiritual level of 70% and above can achieve this task. I have also seen that most mediums do not have the ability of using their sixth sense to identify the spirit they are making contact with, and end up contacting ‘ghosts’ that can fool us by giving false identities, making us believe that they are the spirits we are desperately trying to contact.

A successful medium is a person who not only draws out information from a spirit, but also conveys the messages that the dead wish to pass on to their loved ones. Out of my curiosity, I did a thorough research and found that less than 10,000 people are thus evolved. And to my disbelief, I also found that these people are not keen on helping people make contact with the dead.

There is also the Ouija Board which has only a 10% chance of making contact with the dead. In discourse with a vast majority of the spiritual seekers, regarding the usage of the Ouija Board as a medium of contacting the dead, their responses were that there was a 90% chance of ghosts/negative energy assuming the form of the departed; they are in the capacity to pass on fake information to the user of the Ouija Board, and in worse cases, of possessing the user himself.

We have also surely heard of ghost whisperers. Ghost whisperers are nothing but mediums who help contacting the dead. But as I have mentioned earlier in this article, contacting the dead can only be achieved by a truly spiritual person. If it is done by a person who is not an authority in the subject, the spirits could have difficulty crossing over. They cannot be put on a rein as opposed to the natural order of things. They can be contacted, but this will restrict their progress on their new path.

Trying to contact the departed will only enhance the senses in them and draw them back to the earthly plane as they would still carry an attachment towards their loved ones. Therefore I conclude that trying to communicate with the dead is of no spiritual value and will strengthen the barriers and only create more heartache.

Here I have posted a video link on medium contacting the dead, take a look at it. My advice to everyone trying to contact their departed ones: please let the dead bury their past and learn to move on.

Psychic powers – Can they be developed?

July 29th, 2008 Mythral 7 comments

A subject that is close at heart is “psychic powers”. Have you met a psychic? Consulted him/her about your life? It is normal these days and back in my youth we used to visit an old woman living outside the village. She was know to have psychic powers and many also went to her to communicate with dead relatives. I have been thinking much about her powers and if she was born with it or if it was something she could develop through the years.

The term psychic refers to people possessing extrasensory perceptions or to their proficiency to observe information which is usually hidden to the ordinary senses. This word is a derivative of the Greek word – psychikos which means ‘mental’ or ‘of the mind’.

Develop Psychic Powers

Develop Psychic Powers

I’m sure most of you, like me, are fascinated with psychic powers. My interests in psychic powers led me to gather more information on it. I read that H.P Blavatsky in her magazine ‘Lucifer’ (1988) had written, “Yet this (psychic) power is latent in all men, and could, in time, be wielded by anyone who would cultivate the knowledge and conform to the conditions necessary for its development.”

Encouraged by this I read more on how to develop one’s psychic powers. Here’s what I know.
First of all you are to believe that psychic powers are not inherited. It is a latent power that exists in all, not only in psychic families. This is nothing more than any other human ability and can be easily awakened. ‘Practice makes perfect’ is a proverb that can be aptly quoted for developing psychic powers. For this, meditate everyday and tell yourself that you are a psychic. Maintain a positive attitude throughout the exercise and BELIEVE YOU CAN. This is like training a mind to mould into and tap your psychic potentials. Imagination is also a very important tool.  Envision every task you do in your mind’s eye. When faced with any problem relax and close your eyes and envision the problem and its possible solutions and their outcomes. This task may seem simple but the power is enormous. To relax, visualize that all negatives around you are being removed. Clear your mind to focus on the problem at hand. This will take practice to perfect, and so repeat this as many times as you can.

Try to be more sensitive to your surroundings. Lie awake with your eyes closed every morning and try to use your other senses in observing the surrounding around you. Be aware of the multitude of sounds and tastes, feelings and textures around you. It is important that you relax and understand the importance of this exercise.

Usually it will be difficult to bring control into these thoughts and to remain focused during such mediations. Instead of trying to control such thoughts, let it free. Pay attention to random thoughts also. It is better if you carry a journal with you at all times. Jot down such thoughts.

Dreams are another way of entering the Psychic world. Pay attention to your dreams. Remember dreams by waking up 10 minutes prior to the usual wake up time and try to recall them. Waking up suddenly and getting ready for the day in a hurry will let you forget what happened in your dreams. Jot down your dreams also and over a period of time, you might see a pattern.

As you start practising this every day, you will be able to notice changes in you. Try guessing who is calling when the phone rings or door is knocked. If you don’t get it right, do not worry. Perseverance is the key to success. As you become well versed in the above mentioned techniques, you can progress to other psychic abilities as Clairvoyance, telepathy etc.
